Best cruiser longboard: Re-emerge the new Landyachtz Fiberglass Drop Carve 2012

As everything progresses, one of the best things that is happening in longboarding culture is the constant re-designs and  the passion to make every new board indestructible.

  

The updated classic symmetrical board which is the Landyachtz Fiberglass Drop Carve 2012 edition has positively made some riders craving for this release. Featuring a construction that sandwiches the bamboo core of the board with a Fiberglass finish. Giving the rider with a snappy but yet a flexible feel. The variable concave design of the board gives the rider the best footing and lock for the carving and freeriding tricks and making use of the kick tail in either the nose and tail makes this one sweet Freeride longboard.

The Apex 40 Double Concave or AV Rocker, famed the Best Longboards?

Upon reading a few reviews on the apex 40 double concave I’ve realized that it’s one of the best longboards for anyone who is starting out due to the muti-disciplinary capabilities that you can practice. It has been compared to the Apex 37 in terms of construction, but the Apex 40 delivering with more assault and style due to the doublekick tail and gas pedals making this a very well engineered Freeride and Freestyle board.  Catering to these unique yet somehow fused riding styles, Original Skateboards has released two version of the Apex 40, The Double Concave and the AV RockeR.

The Double concave is inclined more towards the Freeriding, taking advantage of the gas pedals and double concave shape of the board. It adds more grip as you bomb those hills but still confident that your foot is still in place even at high speeds.

Adding the design aspect of the double kicktail , and being a lighter freeride board results to more maneuverability in terms of slides and tricks . The construction of the board boasts a quad-axial fiberglass coating to the 3-ply maple board, making it one of the most indestructible boards in the planet.

Opening up 2012 with Original Skateboards

The year 2012 has come to a stretch. A lot of things have happened and I'm back. To kick things off, Original Skateboards has released quite a few products to name a few are the Apex 40, the Freeride 41, the Freeride 38, and the sought after Apex 34, year 2011 design. We did have a glimpse of the Freeride 41 prototype from my previous post, and now its here.

Things are definitely going to be more interesting.

Original Skateboards and Loaded Longboards outdo each other

Outdoing each other with almost matching outfits, the two controversial longboarding teams have recently made a video featuring an Original Freeride Prototype and the classic Loaded Bhangra. Sealing the deal that there the tension between the two teams is just an imaginary line that was inappropriately coined. Riders Dane Webber and Brian Bishop has definitely set longboarding to its knees leaving everyone wanting for more tricks and flips, and spins.

Maryhill Downhill Free-ride event - the best downhill longboarding

You'll notice the camaraderie that each rider has with each other as they do a tight turn, literally supporting each other out. Another thing is the passion of filming their runs as you see the cameras on their helmets. I know it's cheesy but this is what longboarding is all about! Adrenalin rush, leather digs and gritty looking helmets!

I am still in awe after seeing the new Fiberglass Maestro from Bustin boards' website. The level of customization that you can see realtime as you pick your choice of Trucks, Bearing, and Wheels is impressive! You can finally choose what you want based on your riding style and budget  at the comfort of your own pajamas. 

Another thing is the way they presented the information about this new design composite is just down to earth clear! If you're new to longboarding you'll surely get what the board can do without the jargon and technicality that most brands say about their products. Anyway, it's better to target the new people who are starting out with longboarding right? 

It's been a pleasure to watch most of the videos of Bustin in youtube as the riders go at it and battle the busy and crazy traffic of New York. Definitely a new deck to watch.
